Olive Watson

 

Olive Watson was an active Communist Party member from Blaydon, Northumbria, involved in the local Party women's group and the Co-operative Guild. She organised meetings of miners’ wives in the North East to protest at pit closure in the early 1960s.

 

She was a delegate to the Communist Party's  27th Congress at St Pancras Town Hall, in London, from 2nd-3rd April 1961, as one of 600 delegates.
