Mrs Jane and Mr Jane
The husband and wife team were Communist Party members in Blackburn, Lancashirein the 1930s.
In 1932, they stood as Communist candidates in the November council elections.
Mrs Jane contested Trinity Ward and Mr Jane stood in St Mathew's ward.
Other Communist Party candidates included what the Daily Worker only identified as:
“Comrades Fay in St ThomasWard, Coughlin in St Mark's ward, Nelson in St Paul's Ward and Marriot in St Luke's Ward.”
