Barry Williams

A Communist Party member and boilermakers’ union activist, Williams was a President of Liverpool Trades Council.  

He stood as Communist Party candidate in the March 31st 1966 general election for Birkenhead.

Williams was chair of the area committee of the Boilermakers Society and President of his union branch, a member of the Merseyside District Committtee of the Confederation of Shipbuilding & Engineers Unions, and the Lancashire & Cheshire district committee of the Communist Party.

 

He died in Wrexham in August 2005, aged 77.
