Joe Finch

 
Joe Finch was a Jewish Communist from a poor family.
 
He was shop stewards convener at Standard Telephones during the Second World War and a member of the Daily Worker Editorial Board.
 
After the war, he and his wife Sheila (nee Richardson) both went on teacher-training courses.
