R. Ellesmere
Born in Fulham in 1906, Ellesmere served on the divisional council of the Building Trade Workers Union.
He was a Building Trades Federation delegate from 1946 and a regular delegate from his union to the annual TUC.
Ellesmere served in the armed forces for three years overseas during World War Two and stood as Communist Parliamentary candidate for Fulham in the 1950 general election.
