A pioneer member of the Communist Party and an active member of the Minority Movement, Renshaw produced such papers as the Railway Vigilant and the Busman's Punch.
For many years, he was on the industrial staff of the Daily Worker.
His wife, Winifred, moved to St Austell's in Cornwallduring the war, where, according to the Daily Worker, on 12th January 1941, she gave birth to "another son".
His family has deposited the originals of associated material at the Warwick Modern Records Centre.
